a pier along the sea or is it the bay? I forget but it is where I have gone crabbing. It was windy. the wind blowing so hard. access directly onto beaches is limited, you can still drive around and see the water all around but not quite the sandy beach I miss. Tried to go one closed a few mins before we got there. pissed me. they really limit access. just sort of seeing the town though most things seem normal but I know there are worse hit areas and more damage but some zones still remain closed to residents only...

yes. fun sort of scary. you have to get a bunch of crab traps. these cages that open and all four sides clamp up like a box shaped cage and close up like your hands when you pull a string a very long rope to throw them right off say a dock, or pier. you usually will tie raw chicken or some kind of bait to the cage which will be on the bottom of the cage. the crabs go to it and eat. While they eat you pull the rope in like a fishing lure and when you pull that rope all four walls of the cage close up and hopefully catch a crab. You set up multiple traps throw them in the water then progress pulling them in checking for crabs, which crawl sideways and try and pinch you lol. it is scary throwing the cages into the water. They are hard to bait and usually my dad does that or seagulls come and try to steal it while you are baiting lol. sometimes you wheel in nothing, it is much like fishing.

It really sounds fun. I would love to try it someday! I can see the seagulls trying to steel the bait. lol I like to feed the seagulls french fries when we get to go to Mcdonalds and they can get to fighting over them. lol . I have never seen the ocean. It must be so cool to see that much water. I have been to lake erie and thats the most water I have seen. I hope to see the ocean someday. I have caught crayfish and they can pinch. Crabs must pinch so hard. Do you take the crabs home to eat? How do you cook them?

Where is this area? It's beautiful. I just love this. It reminds me of this place in England that my family used to go to, and if you looked off the beach, you could see the sunset. Always. It was just so perfect... and now you've got me homesick and rambling. Still, I love this.

I love your comment, I can really get your sense of what your home must be like. This was take in Island Heights New Jersey. A pier looking off into the Atlantic. The sun just glows on the water. Your home sounds beautiful. There are places here where you can just see the ocean and its lovely.
